Yarmouth farmer’s market version 2.0

Local clams, lobsters, pies, gelato, music, art. Thursday nights in Yarmouth this summer just got sweeter. A new farmer’s market opens June 4th on the corner of Main and Mill streets to add pizzaz to the produce popup scene.

“We wanted to build on the strengths of the original market and add some new elements that will make it even more of a Yarmouth mainstay,” said market coordinator Amy Sinclair.

Mill Street Market held in front of 317 Main Community Music Center includes live acoustic music on the porch and arts and crafts for children on the lawn. Think mini Tangelwood with better food. Food trucks Locally Sauced and Wicked Good Truck will be in rotation. Participating vendors such as Deri Farm of North Yarmouth, Pleasant Valley Acres of Cumberland and Honeysuckle Way Flower Farm of Whitefield provide a basketful of variety.

The market is scheduled to run through August from 3 to 6 p.m. Finally a farmer’s market you don’t have to set your alarm for. Yeah for Yarmouth! Join the conversation on their Facebook page. See you on the lawn.
